Initial Assessment
The typical introductory step with a new family is for us to perform an Initial Assessment for any concerned children so we can assess their skill levels, cognitive potential, as well as other important factors such as personality, interests that allow us to gather a comprehensive understanding of the best possible form of support and strategy for each child concerning specific target schools. Beyond this, we will be able to arrange trials for private tuition or group classes depending on what's required.
This is an instrumental step in determining a student’s academic level and potential, comprising of a simple academic assessment for each child to sit at home with a consultant, as well as an interactive element where questions will be asked mid-assessment to allow further insight into the thinking behind various processes, including: reading, writing and numerical reasoning, etc. This process will also include individual interviews that will be conducted as part of the assessment procedure. Upon completion, the set tasks will be both reviewed in-person and professionally marked by our team. We will then arrange an inclusive Follow-up consultation (at no extra charge) to discuss the results of the assessment and the implications and long-term outlook pertaining to the relevant admissions processes. Following this, options will be presented and discussed including a formal recommendation from the consultant. The most suitable support framework will then be advised based on the results of the assessment and on what is best for your child.
In-Venue Mock Exams
We run mock exams at our venue in Belgravia for various exams and at different levels across multiple subjects. Our mock exam environments are professionally crafted to provide students with a realistic exam experience and offer attendees the opportunity to practise their skills and build confidence in these environments before sitting the real thing. All our mock exams include professional invigilation, marking and feedback reports providing parents with transparent and honest insight into how their child is currently performing and what needs to be done to improve.
We currently offer mock exams for 7+, 8+ and 11+ exams, with some particularly styled to certain school formats. We also stage mock exams in English and maths for GCSE students.
